Das Theater

Das Stadttheater Klagenfurt ist das Landestheater für Kärnten und Kärntens größte Kulturinstitution. Es steht in der Dreiländerregion Alpe-Adria (Österreich, Slowenien, Italien) und ist das südlichste Theater des deutschsprachigen Raums. 1908-1910 vom legendären Architektenduo Helmer & Fellner im freien Empirestil erbaut, feierte das Stadttheater 2010 sein hundertjähriges Jubiläum.

Aufgabe des Stadttheaters ist die Pflege des zentralen Repertoires der Theater- und Opernliteratur – als lebendige Kunstinstitution im Herzen einer modernen Gesellschaft. Seit September 2020 leiten Intendant Aron Stiehl und der Geschäftsf. Kaufm. Direktor Mag. Matthias Walter das Mehr-Sparten-Haus mit 716 Sitzplätzen. Gezeigt werden Oper, Operette, Musical, Schauspiel, Konzert und Ballett. Studioproduktionen und ein abwechslungsreiches Statt Theater-Programm ergänzen die elf großen Bühnenproduktionen. Vermittlungsangebote wie Matineen, Einführungen, Führungen und ein umfassendes theaterpädagogisches Programm für Kinder und Jugendliche mit einem Theaterspielclub sollen die Verbundenheit unseres Publikums mit dem Hause stärken und Einblicke in die Arbeit geben. Unterschiedliche Ermäßigungen sowie die beliebten Theaterabos ermöglichenden Theaterbesuch für alle Theaterbegeisterten preisgünstig und bequem.

Das Stadttheater Klagenfurt zeigt in jeder Spielzeit mehr als 200 Vorstellungen. Das Team umfasst ca. 270 fest angestellte Mitarbeiter und 90 Gäste, das KSO Kärntner Sinfonieorchester und den Chor des Stadttheaters Klagenfurt. Ausstattung und Bühnenbilder werden ausschließlich in den hauseigenen Werkstätten (Kostümabteilung, Tischlerei, Schlosserei, Malerei, Maske) gefertigt.

Il Sovrintendente Aron Stiehl gestisce da Settembre 2020 questo Teatro che ha una capienza di 716 posti. Il programma include come genere l’Opera lirica, l’Operetta, il Musical, la prosa, concerti e performances di balletto/danza. Gli undici grandi allestimenti annuali vengono completati con spettacoli dello ‚Studio‘, un programma vario dell’iniziativa ‚in-vece-di-teatro‘ e la stagione estiva. Il team dello Stadttheater Klagenfurt ed ospiti nazionali ed internazionali di notevole fama elaborano insieme rappresentazioni d’alto livello artistico, e anche prime mondiali e nazionali che testano la diversità culturale in una società moderna.

Lo Stadttheater cerca sempre d’essere più vicino possibile al pubblico con matinèe, dialoghi con artisti, visite guidate, un programma di teatro-pedagogico per bambini e giovani offrendo anche un club dove imparano la recitazione. Varie offerte e riduzioni di prezzi nonché gli abbonamenti garantiscono ad ogni persona entusiasta del Teatro un godimento culturale agevole e a basso costo.

Ogni stagione teatrale dello Stadttheater Klagenfurt comprende più di 200 spettacoli. Il team è di circa 270 dipendenti fissi e 90 ospiti, l’orchestra sinfonica della Carinzia KSO e il Coro dello Stadttheater Klagenfurt. Scene ed allestimenti vengono realizzati unicamente nelle officine interne (sartoria, falegnameria, officina del fabbro, pittori di scena, trucco/parrucco).

The most southern German speaking theatre is situated in the three country region Alpe-Adria (Austria, Slovenia, Italy). Built in 1908-1010 by the legendary architects Helmer & Fellner in the free empire style, celebrated in 2010 its one hundred year jubilee.

Since September 2020 director Aron Stiehl heads the Stadttheater with a seating capacity of 716 seats, showing opera, operetta, musical, straight theatre, concert and ballet. Studio productions, a varied program of additional smaller productions and the theatrical summer complement the eleven big stage productions.

The team of the Stadttheater together with renowned Austrian and international guests working on productions at a high artistic level, including first releases and debut performances, which also give a living sign for cultural variety in a modern society.

Introductory matinées, presentations, tours, discussions with cast and an extensive theatre educational program for children and young people with a theatre club, giving an emotional and close experience of the theatre. Variable offers and reductions as well as the popular seasonal tickets allow all theatre enthusiasts a reasonably priced and comfortable visit to the theatre.

Each season the Stadttheater Klagenfurt shows more than 200 performances. The team comprises approximately 270 permanent and 90 guest employees, the KSO Carinthian Symphony Orchestra and the choir of the Stadttheater Klagenfurt. Equipment and scenery are produced exclusively in the theatres’ own workshops (costume department, carpentry, locksmiths, painters, make-up artists aso.).
